Do not leave dead cockroaches unattended, you should immediately clean and dispose of them in the trash or disposal site outside the building. Because if the carcass is left in the room then, this can invite the presence of other cockroaches.

Cockroaches are cannibals, they can even eat eggs and babies. Not only do cockroaches eat their eggs and babies, they also eat the carcasses of other cockroaches, so they will come if the carcasses are not cleaned immediately. This is because dead cockroaches release a fatty acid called oleic acid.

The scent of oleic acid signals to cockroaches, as well as other insects that what is lying there is food. The cockroach or other insects pick up the dead cockroach to take to the nest and eat it.

Another reason carnivorous insects such as ants, centipedes, spiders and other insects are attracted to dead cockroach carcasses is due to the presence of pheromones. Pheromones themselves are secretions released by insects to communicate with each other. Usually they release pheromones when there is a food source. The scent of these pheromones will be captured by other insects, and head towards the area.

So, don't forget to dispose of dead cockroach carcasses properly. Use a cockroach exterminator service if the pest problem is difficult to overcome. If you see a dead cockroach suddenly disappear, it is a sign that other insects have taken it to their nest.
