House or building fires can be caused by termites. Cables or various tools related to electricity are not impossible for these insects to eat. There are special characteristics caused by termite damage, one of which is short-circuiting the electricity in the house.

Termites are indiscriminate in destroying items around the house such as cabinets, kitchen sets, books, boxes, furniture, and even electrical cables.

The most dangerous effect of termite infestation is when this army of destructive insects eats away at the electrical parts of the house, causing an electrical short circuit. If not careful, electrical short circuits may also lead to potential fires.

To reach their target, subterranean termites can penetrate walls that are several centimeters thick. Termites can pass through open holes and small gaps, be it gaps in the slab around wood or plumbing gaps, and gaps between the foundation and the wall, or up to the entire surface of the wall.
