Each person will experience a different reaction after being bitten by an ant. A common reaction is itching but there are also reactions such as swelling, even severe allergic reactions due to ant bites that require immediate medical attention.

The pain tends to be short-term, lasting for a few seconds to minutes. In most cases, stings from ants heal on their own over time. But there are also those who go on for days if they are bitten by one type of ant, namely Fire Ants. Instead of going away, the itching gets more intense and triggers swollen irritation to blisters on the skin.

There are several symptoms that arise from Fire Ant bites such as breathing problems, dizziness, swelling of the tongue or throat, confusion and loss of consciousness.

If a number of symptoms are left unchecked, allergic reactions can cause the body to go into shock, lose consciousness, and even endanger life. For some places, **ant extermination services** are needed to overcome this pest problem, especially in the F&B sector. Restaurants or places to eat if there are many ants are often considered unhygienic.

So, are there any home remedies for ant bites that are already swollen or inflamed?

- Without a doctor's advice, don't rush to give medication, but instead do the following:

- Wash the area affected by the ant bite using a mild soap and clean water.

- Apply a cold compress for 20 minutes to the ant bites on your hands

- Apply a mild corticosteroid cream to reduce itching and take antihistamine medication to reduce mild allergic reactions and itching.

- No excessive scratching of the itchy area

- Neither squeezing nor poking the watery area

- Wear clothes that are soft and loose-fitting.

- Drink more water

If the symptoms do not improve for a long time, consult a doctor about the ant bite problem!
