Sentadu grasshoppers or praying mantis are often found in the rainy season. These insects feed on the leaves, especially the new ones. The existence of the praying mantis insect, it is not difficult to find it. Usually found in the yard of the house or areas where there are many plants. This insect belongs to the order Mantodea. In English this insect is usually called praying mantis, because of its attitude that often looks like it is praying.

The unique fact of this insect is that the female eats the male's head after mating. In the animal world, the female known as a cannibalism who is quite sadistic. Imagine, in the middle of a sex ritual with the male, the female cuts off her partner's head and then eats it. Then, it is continued by eating the remaining body parts of the male. This cannibalism occurs in about 16-25% of all marriages.

Why does a female praying mantis have to kill her mate and then eat her head alive? The main reason the female praying mantis eats her mate head is hunger. Praying mantises that eat their partner's body after sex produce more eggs than those who don't. On average, a female cannibal produces about 88 eggs. Meanwhile, females who are not cannibals only produce 37 eggs.
